Wir starten um 5:30 in der Fr\u00fch, da wir mehr Tiere sehen wollen. Und es bringt wirklich etwas. Erst sehen wir Schafe, dann Karibus. Elchkuh mit Kalb und zwei Bisonherden.
Dazwischen l\u00e4uft vor uns ein Schwarzb\u00e4r \u00fcber die Stra\u00dfe. Ich bremse, aber bis wir den Fotoapparat im Anschlag haben, ist er schon im Geb\u00fcsch verschwunden. Kurze Zeit sp\u00e4ter sind am Stra\u00dfenrand noch zwei Kojoten, die sich aber auch sofort verdr\u00fccken.
Gegen Mittag erreichen wir Watson Lake. Der Schilderwald ist mittlerweile riesig geworden. Ansonsten sind wir vom Ort entt\u00e4uscht. Wir sehen auch einige Gruppen betrunkener First Nations was uns bedr\u00fcckt.
Bei Johnsons Crossing biegen wir ab und schauen uns unsere Einstiegesstelle von 2017, als wir Teslin River und Yukon befuhren an. Am Abend erreichen wir Whitehorse.
Am n\u00e4chsten Morgen erg\u00e4nzen wir unsere Vorr\u00e4te bereits vorausschauend auf den Dempster HWY. N\u00e4chstes Ziel ist aber Dawson. In Carmacks – auch ein Punkt den wir mit dem Kanu erreicht haben machen wir Mittagspause.
Wir schauen uns die Five Finger Rapids von oben an – am Wasser kennen wir sie ja schon. Bis Dawson warten wir bei drei Baustellen in Summe 90 Minuten auf die Pilot-Cars….<\/p>\n
