Mit dem Erreichen von British Columbia wechseln wir wieder in eine neue Zeitzone (minus eine Stunde). Wir kommen nach Dawson Creek, wo der Alaska-Highway beginnt.
Die Stra\u00dfe wurde 1942 von den Amerikanern errichtet und ist mittlerweile zur G\u00e4nze asphaltiert. Als wir 2001 mit den Motorr\u00e4dern hier waren, waren noch gro\u00dfe Teile Gravel.
In Taylor besuchen wir das Visitorcenter. Eine nette Dame, die etwas Deutsch kann (war mit einem Schweizer verheiratet) gibt uns viele n\u00fctzliche Informationen \u00fcber BC, Yukon und NWT.
Wir \u00fcbernachten am Charlie-Lake.
In der Fr\u00fch starten wir bei dichtem Nebel. Als die Nebeldecke aufrei\u00dft wird es ein herrlicher Tag. In Fort Nelson besuchen wir das Heritage-Museum, eine wilde Ansammlung aller m\u00f6glicher Gegenst\u00e4nde, ausgestopften Tieren alten Fahrzeuge und Maschinen.
Auf der Weiterfahrt sehen wir Kanada-Kraniche und Maultierhirsche. Am Ufer des Tetsa-Rivers finden wir einen sch\u00f6nen Lagerplatz. Wir machen ein Lagerfeuer und genie\u00dfen den Abend.<\/p>\n
