Heute fahren wir am Bras d’Or Lake entlang Richtung Sidney und dann weiter nach Louisbourg. F\u00fcr heute haben wir uns nicht viel vorgenommen, es ist Canada Day. In Louisbourg ist allerdings nicht viel los, nur bei der Feuerwehr ist ein kleines Fest. Wir fahren zum Leuchtturm und gehen den Lighthouse-Trail. Diesen Weg haben die Engl\u00e4nder angelegt, um von einem gesch\u00fctzten Landungsplatz aus ihre Kanonen Richtung Leuchtturm zu transportieren. Von dort haben sie auf die Franzosen im Hafen und im Fort geschossen bevor sie Fort Louisbourg eroberten.
Wir machene noch einen\u00a0 Ausflug nach Main \u00e0 Dieu einem kleinen Fischerort, wo wir einen weiteren Trail gehen. Dieser ist zur G\u00e4nze auf Holzstegen angelegt, um die empfindliche Flora nicht zu zerst\u00f6ren.
Am Samstag besuchen wir das Fort. Es wurde von den Engl\u00e4ndern komplett zerst\u00f6rt und ab 1960 teilweise wieder rekonstruiert. Viele Einrichtungsgegenst\u00e4nde konnten zur\u00fcckverfolgt werden und sind im Original erhalten. Auch einige der urspr\u00fcnglichen Steinmetzarbeiten sind Original. Heute ist es ein lebendes Geschichtsmuseum. Viele Handwerker und Soldaten zeigen und erkl\u00e4ren ihre Aufgaben.
Leider ist der ganze Tag nebelverhangen und im Ort Louisbourg ist absolut nichts los. Wir fahren die 25 km nach Sidney auf einen Kaffee und gehen einkaufen.<\/span><\/p>\n
