<\/span>Am n\u00e4chsten Tag wurden wir von unserem Bootsverleih am Campingplatz abgeholt und es ging mit dem Boot am Dach nach Johnsons Crossing. Dort verstauten wir unsere Ausr\u00fcstung samt den zwei Tonnen f\u00fcr Lebensmittel im Boot. Auch wenn wir nicht mit einer Kenterung rechneten wurde alles fest verzurrt und am Boot angeh\u00e4ngt.<\/span>
Die Flusskarten hatten wir bei Up North Adventures gekauft und Maria war \u2013 neben dem Fotografieren w\u00e4hrend der Fahrt auch f\u00fcr die Navigation zust\u00e4ndig. Am ersten Tag hatten wir nur eine kurze Strecke geplant und nach gut 3 Stunden legten wir auf Henry Island an um unser Camp aufzuschlagen. Bereits auf dieser kurzen Strecke bekamen wir mehrere Seeadler zu sehen.<\/span>
Der Campaufbau ging rasch, und ich konnte noch ein wenig fischen. Zum Abendessen gab\u2018s Spagetti.<\/span>
